Well well, at long last i've gone and bought a V8.... Will just pop up the previous owners pics for now and will sort my own soon...

Spec as follows

Pedders coilovers
Pedders rear end pack with polybushes.
Pedders Strut brace
Magnaflow exhaust (not a Wortec as I thought)
Harrop rear diff cover
Wheels refurbished by Lepsons in shadow chrome.

It's pretty mint, only 26K on the clock and full Monkfish service history.

Picked it up from kent so the drive back in convoy with my mate in his RS4 through the Dartford tunnel was fun :)

First off , right colour for a Monaro , second point the interior looks nice especially the green LCD backlighting . Looks very well cared for , only thing I'd look to change would be to move the wheels out a bit to give a bit more aggression to the stance of car . I'm sure all you'll do for now is just enjoy driving it i know I would .

Needs lowering

Number plate is wonky

Apart from that I would :)

Thanks chaps... After a couple of weeks of ownership, i'm loving it. The LSD works nicely so it's pretty progressive when the back end steps out (which it will, in most gears, particularly in this damp greasy weather.) i'm still getting used to getting the power down but getting more confident with it.

One thing that I will be doing soon is upgrading the front brakes.... a couple of slow downs from 100 ish (leptons per second, obviously) and they fade like buggery. There are AP racing kits but some of the guys in the states and down under seem to use Cadilac CTS-V 6 pots and 355mm discs so am looking at various options. Reyland have a decent offer on the AP four pots with 350mm discs but am still researching.

Oh... and about 15mpg so far if anyone is interested..... it's been getting some stick though in fairness :)

Thanks folks...

Got the new V5 through with my plate on....

In other news, i'm really getting used to it now... I haven't left a junction without getting the @rse out for some time ;):)

One of the things with these is that after time, the main radiator cap (not the expansion tank) starts to fail and you begin to lose a bit of coolant. Mine had lost a bit over the 700 odd miles i've covered in it. Popping the rad cap off you could see the evidence of it leaking from the cap so purchased a new one from Monkfish (only £15)

so, off with the slam panel cover...

Old and new...

New one fitted and cover back on...

and, admire :)

Have been having fun with it and have decided that the best upgrade I can make to the car is to upgrade my own skills. I like to think i'm a pretty decent driver (don't we all) This car has shown me I still have much to learn so i've been speaking to this chap...

I'm going to be going on one of his car control days at either Bruntingthorpe of Milbrook at some point before the summer.

Please don't! :D
Seconded! Corrr!
Well, if you insist ;)

So, today is the first proper dry day since I bought it, so it would have been rude not to do two things..

1. Clean it.
2. Hoon it.

So nice to drive it with some grip available, properly quick. First gear is still a sideways fest even in the dry. (y)

Took this to Silverstone for pistonheads Sunday service today... I've put more miles on it so far than the previous owner did in 2 years... Great fun!

Cool. Get out on the track...?

I'd love one of these one day! I remember going for a ride out in Keith's, the "poverty" 5.7 one, the noise was... Dramatic...
