How many parking tickets have you had? I've had two, one for parking on the pavement and the other for overstaying 4 minutes. Jobsworth parking warden

How many do you deserve? In the last week for me probably about 5 for parking in disabled bays in the supermarket (they are always empty and I've been giving my gran a lift to places to do her Christmas shopping and it's easier to get her in and out of the car with the wider bays), taking up two spaces often and just other things

In 34 years of driving I've had 3 parking tickets & 2 were my fault & the other i blame on a customer who asked me to drop them off at a hotel which they didn't use . Not bad considering.

1 in around 23 years of driving - like a muppet I parked in a pay and display, had every intention of buying a ticket then left the car park without one!

Got 1 for parking in a disabled space at 11 oclock at night the car park had 2 cars in it and 500 spaces empty shouldn't have been lazy and parked 20 spaces down. got a warning note from plastic police for parking on double yellows. I probably deserved minimum 30 to be fair I don't agree with some parking charges. Plus I prob deserved another 500 when I lived in town centre and all permit places were full and just parked in pay and display space without paying

1, and I was conned by glasgow council. No yellow lines on the roads, but later found it was a "controlled area" in candleriggs, meaning that you are supposed to know there are yellow lines everywhere but they don't put them on the road as it spoils the look of the nice cobble stones.

I've had 2 in my own vehicles. 1 for parking on the wrong side of the road and the other for overstaying, which I didn't so I didn't pay it ( I wrote to them explaining it in full).

At work I've had dozens, When I used to deliver to just off Oxford street the warden would be waiting on the corner for us everyday. They knew we could never get unloaded in the 20minutes allowed. I saw one warden nearly get battered when she gave a courier a ticket unfairly.

Two issued by the council...Both in the work van for staying too long in loading bays whilst working nearby (no paid spaces).
We sometimes call up the 'dispatch' office to ask for dispensation if an extended stay is likely...

No, just remembered a third for over staying 15mins in an NCP controlled car park (free for 2 hours).

    Two.

First time I was blocked in front and back and couldn't leave and incredibly the idiot on patrol still issued a ticket!
Of course it was written off but only after the hassle of lodging an appeal. No internet or camera phones in those days.

Second time they had clear camera evidence that my car parking pass was correctly displayed. Despite this they took their brains out and threw them away and issued a ticket anyway, despite their own evidence. I appealed, they turned it down. I invoiced them for £50 for the time I had spent writing my appeal and told them it would now rise to £250 an hour for the court hearing and I would mount an immediate private prosecution for harrassment.

Needless to say one of them put their brain back in and decided the massive bill they would face was actually starting to look like a really bad idea. I had a letter of apology but no explanation. I went to the local paper with the photographic evidence they had to provide me with after a Freedom of Information request. The paper published it. A deluge of complaints followed. The parking company lost the contract, justice was done.
