    Hi
I have an old 1993 2.3Td which I've dragged kicking and screaming from the bottom of the field to help me with a major business premises move. Apart from the obvious front callipers seized, I can't get any life from the headlights. They are the old pod push button type with HB and flash on the stalk. Buzzer works, HB flashes, side and tail lights work just no main beam and no high beam hold. There are two slots in the relay box which look like they should have relay's in , it's possible that someone has been helping themselves to bits. I've tried swapping around the remaining 4 relay's which seem to relate to the lights as they are the same. Apart from one switching the lights off altogether makes no difference. I've checked bulbs and fuses they're all good. It would really help to know if I'm missing a relay I'll attach a photo[IMG]

Thanks for all the help folks. Fixed it now. I think the problem may have been with the half power module to the headlights (which I couldn't find) I had no power from the head light switches to the relay, which, as it turns out is an earth return switch (odd) as the relay's have permanent live to both sides. I cut the red/ purple wire on the H/Lamp relay and jury rigged it to the red/white wire on the H/Lamp switch, (Not the main beam flash stalk switch) bypassing the half power module (wherever it is) So lights are working again and all is well in the world. Turns out, there were no relay's missing the configuration in the picture is as it should be.
