    Hi all,

I am a bit thick when it comes to cars and was wondering if someone could give me some advice on the fuses for a Mark 5 2007 Astra 1.6 SXI. Would I be right in thinking that they are in the boot? Also is it the 10A fuse that controls the washers and the boot compartment switch as neither of these are working?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Cheers, Lee

The fuse for the washers is in the fusebox under the bonnet. Its a 10a, but the guy at my local Vauxhall garage recomended changing it for a 15a, which I did.

If you're struggling for fuse locations and ratings, have a look in the owners handbook, page 169 I think.

Cheers for the information, bloody typical though, I went to both Halfords and Maplins and neither of them have any in stock!! Guess it is a common fault so they have had a mad rush with the bad weather!!

    How odd..

The same two things have happened to me (windscreen washer and boot compartment)

Took my car in for service today and the garage are going to look at it for me but they said it might be the fuse

Just find it bizarre that I find someone that has the same two problems after all the weather we have had!

I think its a common fault with Vauxhalls to be honest, when I went to Halfords they knew exactly what car I had as soon as I mentioned the problem. It cost me about £3.00 to buy a new pack of fuses and about 2 mins to change it so cant complain.

I'm having this fault at the moment, but someone told me it could be the relay or the washer pump splitting with the clod weather. Does this sound right. I'm a bit sugar when it comes to cars.

Does the CDL work if you use the key in the door lock or does it not work at all? Fuse number 38 (25 amp) in the boot fuse box controls the CDL
