    Hello to all,

I am new here and this is my first post, this forum help me a lot of for my car.
I post here because i cant find solution for my Diesel Injection Pump from Vectra B 1997 2.0 DTL
Can somebody help me, my Diesel Injection Pump give me a low pressure, but not always,
sometimes there is a very good pressure but sometimes there is three time low than required. With scan tool only give fault code p1220. And pressure is 3 instead of desired 10

I check fuel filter and replace.
I see air bubbles in fuel what go to diesel injection pump, i think that matter to, but i dont know how to clear that air bubbles, i put tubes into bottle with fuel, to ensure that air dont come from fuel tank, but there is bubbles again.my question can be that problem for injection pump ?

I lost more than week to resolve problem but without any success.
    Please for any advice, recommendation.

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have a high level of fuel in the tank? 20-30 litres.
Check the seal on the top of the fuel filter housing where the retaining bolt goes through and the seal between the body and top of the filter housing, finally make sure that there arent any tiny cracks in the fuel filter housing or in the top of the housing. Any air leaks at all will cause the problem that you have

    Thanks for your reply,
I have full tank with fuel and i connect with new tube directly to pump, but air bubbles are still there. after that i get fuel in one bottle and put tube from injection pump directly to bottle with returning tube together but air bubbles are there again. I was wondering how can have air bubbles even from bottle.
Sound very stupid but i think pump make that air bubbles.
I open top of diesel pump and put new gasket but air again, maybe a little bit but air again.
Can pump reproduce that air ?
What other things can be reason for low pressure of diesel injection pump ?

    Thanks

What condition are the leak off pipes in? if they are wet with fuel its a fair bet that they are perished or the small t pieces are cracked, the leak off pipe is connected to the rear of the pump so there could be air getting in that way.
