Hi everyone, I've just become a new member to your forum and impressed with all the helpful feedback I've seen. I purchased an 06 Vauxhall Zafira Design 1.9 cdti 150
in August 2008 since then it has had 2 EGR valves, a new DPF replaced ,the latest EGR valve and inlet manifold was fitted last May.

Over the past month the Emissions Warning Light has come on and pedal test showed ecn 227956 fault code. I booked it in to be checked but they couldn't find anything wrong and reset the fault code. I picked up the car and drve 70 miles to my caravan after setting off home 2 days later the warning light came in again and same fault code. Back to dealers Tech2 and new inlet pipe to DPF and £266 less well off, picked up car Wednesday, drove to caravan Thurs and on Saturday warning light back on and same fault code. Have booked car in again for 3/5/11 but in the meantime warning light has gone out again. I've been telling them I thinks it's a sticking EGR valve but they're saying there is nothing wrong with it.

After the car has stood for 1 or 2 days could it just stick long enough to bring in the warning light. and then clear after so many journeys without sticking. Also is it right that whilst the warning light is on Regeneration of the DPF won,t take place. Any ideas Thanks
