I have an 05 cdti vivaro.I was wondering if going through a big puddle yesterday has caused something to make it cut out today.
Got in it today ,started no problem then cut out just a short distance away.It turns over with plenty power in battery, but wont even fire.No warning lights stay on.
Got a tow home and tried jumping it in gear but still no go.As i said there is quite a big puddle down the road and i went through it twice yesterday, and its been very wet recently.Could this have caused a problem or is it something more serious?
    Would appreciate any advice.Thanks

I would start by removing air filter box to check for water ingress. And if you find it took in water then it would be more than likely you bent a few connecting rods Regards Mickeybo

Would a faulty crank sensor cause these symtoms?
The puddle was just a thought and might not be the cause as it started and ran before cutting out.
I checked the wiring under the header tank and drained off some fuel.both ok.

If its the same as mine (06 1.9 sportive) fuel pump on the engine, I recently did fuel pump, cam belt and service and parts were the best part of £500
