Recently discovered a fuel leak and pinpointed it to coming out of the fuel filter housing. It seems to be more when i first start up the engine as opposed to at the end of a journey but it's not leaking a great deal and isn't enough to have affected fuel economy.

I took it to a garage who confirmed it, They said I'd probably need a new one £280 for part and to fit.......so i bought one from eBay (£10) with a new filter in it!

I have a friend who reckons it could just be the seal inside it but ive seen a pciture of one opened up and its above the main seal i saw in that picture....also being as the whole thing was only a tenner I'm not too fussed about replacing it.

I've looked over the parts and it doesn't seems that complicated but i can't find a decent tutorial on the net of how to remove it ( Don't want to start the job only to find i need a special tool) and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction? Or wheher anyone has experience of doing it themselves.

    It's The DTH Z 19 engine ASTRA 1.9 CDti (150)

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Joe

Fixed it now, for anyone with the same problem, there is nothing to hold in the fuel filter housing, though a bit stiff it just slides out :) 2 hoses and 2 cables to remove...easy :)
