[Astra H/Mk5] [04-09] CD player adding AUX input or USB port??

    hi all,

    i just bought an astra wanting to keep it as standard as possible as iv just realised the hard way that modifying cars lowers the value by a hell of a lot lol

    anyways wanting to add an AUX input or USB port to my standard Astra SXI 2006 CD player...is it at all possible to add to this system??

    thats the CD player its the one off the 2006 model SXI :)

    isnt the aux port on the handbrake trim

    nah mate it isnt, i know what you mean when looking at some i noticed that it was by the handbrake but never checked when bought this one and now find there isnt one hence why im wondering if it is possible for me to add one not sure if the CD player is exact same as the ones i seen the AUX near handbrake in??

    just want to know if it will be compatble and where to buy the AUX lead from :)

    ok take off the cover next to the hanbrake where the aux would be normally and see if you could see a 3 pin wire. If your lucky then all you need to do is buy the aux adapter from vauxhall and plug it in. Might need a tech 2 ing

    ook will do bu...thanks for that if not im guessing it is no longer possible and need to get another HU but that wont work with my LCD display :(

    aah i c anyway if u plan to get the one with aux u will have to get unit programmed at vauxhall as each unit is unique programmed to each car

    nah i checked under the panel doesnt look like it has the wires for AUX :(

    the CD player is the CD30 is this capatible with AUX if i purchase an AUX input i can easily wire it up and add the AUX to the original position just want to know wether this CD30 is AUX compatible

    Not too sure but i think the models that had AUX had a slightly different CD player??

    just checked at dealers and nooope not possible, they said buy the MP3 one which is a CD35?? i think they sadi then pay them 100quid to reprogramme it and 50quid to get the security code to access ecu then 80quid labour....i were like wtf for that price i can just buy a CD player with AUX and USB lol
