    Hi everyone

The rubber on my Astra's brake pedal is worn and I've just ordered a replacement rubber online. Would it be possible for me to fit it myself, or do I have to get a mechanic to do it?

    Many thanks

They just push fit and wrap around the metal of the pedal, easy job.

Lol yeah easy to fit as said it just wraps round would be a good idea to put it in hot water first to soften it up so its easy to wrap round.

From memory hook over the top section first so you are pulling down to get the lip over the bottom two corners. Quite a bit of effort needed if you don't warm them first as suggested with hot water or a hairdryer, but do make sure the lip is over the metal pedal all the way round so it can't come off.

    Hi guys

Thanks for the responses. Don't know why I was under the impression the rubber is glued onto the pedal. Anyway, I shall remember the hot water trick.

    Cheers
