Hi there, I am a new member and drive a 2002 Vectra C GTS 1.8. As I live in Ireland and it is badged an Opel I think it is probably called something else in the UK, maybe SRI The warning light that says my drivers side back door is open stays on and is driving me mad because everytime you pull off it gives a warning beep. The door panel has been removed and there is nothing obviously wrong. Perhaps someone can throw some light on this problem. Many thanks.

I believe the switch is built in and part of the door stay. Generally the only way to solve is to replace the door stay mechanism.

If you take a look over on vectra-c.com you'll find some more info about it.

Yes the interior lights stay on so I manually swith them off. I have just found the relevant info on vectra-c.com saying is could be the striker plate. Thanks a lot guys, I will give this a try and let you know how I get on.
