    Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me with the following problem I have with the tensioner pulley on the timing belt.

I am in the process of changing my timing belt and water pump on my Mk4 S Reg 1.4 16V Astra, however after getting down to the tensioner in order to release the tension on the belt. I have found that the main torx screw on the tensioner pulley has been rounded. Is there a way of removing this torx screw without having to call a specialist out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Get an old, disposable socket, slightly smaller than the torx bolt and hammer it on to the rounded item - remove and throw both away!
