hi all my 2006 combo won't start I've had an auto electrician look at it and he's checked the keys and immobiliser and says there fine and that it's looking like the ecu needs reprogramming which he doesn't have the computer to do, does anyone know a mobile auto electrician who can do this or is it just Vauxhall that can do it? I'm based in Leeds and need it sorting asap. Thanks

Ok so the ECU will be fine, but I am betting the BCM module has managed to poop itself and is now corrupted. (Unless someone has managed to cross connect the battery charger/slave battery) You are going to need an opcom at the very least, Genuine Tech 2 would be better. You will also need the security code for the vehicle.

Thanks, I have the code I'm just struggling to find somebody with the right knowledge and equipment, otherwise it will need towing to a dealership for sorting which will cost me a small fortune.

Do a request for someone localish to reset the BCM with opcom or better. It isn't that difficult to be honest. Or maybe buy an opcom yourself, the good quality ones will set you back about 40 quid, and you just need a laptop/netbook running a mainstream windows operating system.
