  3. Rear Wheel Drive Vauxhall Area
Its not easy to fix as it uses a steel wire (hard to solder) Here is a pic of the offending article.!

No codes will be stored. The ECU fails due to a bond wire breaking inside (main casing to hybrid control board), this causes intermittent oepration and eventauly total failure. There is a company on ebay who will recon yours for 100 quid (with 2 year warranty)...

The sensors will be fine. It will be the ABS ecu throwing the towel in
  6. Rear Wheel Drive Vauxhall Area
That wont work The ECU will modulate the coil in the valve and look at the pot for a feedback signal. You will get a fault code because the feedback will not relate to the position the ECU is trying to set the valve to......

Look under the back of the car...rear wheel drive....big metal lump in the middle.....attached to the front of that, large rubber donut with 6 bolts.
  8. Rear Wheel Drive Vauxhall Area
Do it the easy way, jack it up and remove the rubber donut that couples the prop shaft to the diff, its only six bolts. Cable tie the prop to the exhaust and tow to your hearts content

Similar power and torque but, the V6 delivers a very flat torque curve unlike the straight six which is quite peeky.

Thats what happened to us....laidback66 promptly said 'it did this in Derby to me the other week!'. So hacksaw out the aircon rad and wire the aircon electric fan up and away we went again. That road upto the Hotel is one of the best on the trip, very windy and very steep plus small and...

For which I can guarantee that a Senator is a good choice....although make sure the dam viscous coupling is working or you will get to the top of the mountain in Annecy and find steam pouring from the bonnet.

Aircon isnt that hard to sort anymore.....there are new oils which allow the later gas to be used with the old R12 mineral oil. But yes, sills (particularly the rear), wheel arches, chassis rails......fan speed controls not working, cruise not working, adjustable suspension not working...

Sounds like thermostat. Pasts are cheap but, I seem to recall that they lurk behind the timing belt cover (its been a long while though so could be wrong!)
  18. Rear Wheel Drive Vauxhall Area
Much more basic plus the cop one is likely to have an LSD (rare)....otherwise the same(i.e. same suspension setup and power)
  19. Rear Wheel Drive Vauxhall Area
Tracking no.....camber, maybe....you need a full geometry check. 4 wheel tracking or just tracking doesn't realy cut it.....plus it needs checking after wishbone replacement (might be thrown out)
  20. Rear Wheel Drive Vauxhall Area
My estate (deceased) was exhibiting similar symptoms until I removed and cleaned the valve block....interestingly, the stored codes related to the ECU selecting a higher/lower gear but the speed sensor not indicating a speed increase related to the rpm increase (hence the limp home mode). By...
