Infotainment glitch, or is it me?

I've got a strange poltergeist in my Astra Infotainment system, or perhaps it's just me missing something.

At first I thought the issue – which I'll get to in a moment – was to do with the 'Personalised' key setting i.e. the key will memorise radio settings such as preset stations, last volume etc. But I don't think it is that as I've turned it off.

The Problem: I've had this happen twice now. I get back to my car in the carpark after 30 minutes of shopping and when I start the engine the display on the Infotainment system reads 'Please Remove CD' and the CD has half ejected itself. Also, when I press my memory preset on the radio, my preset of Radio 2 is no longer there, it has put some other stations in all my presets instead.

Any idea why the system ejects the CD and puts a whole bunch of new presets in when I start the car. Like I said, don't do it all the time, just sometimes.

Car is 2011 Astra J 1.6 petrol 5-speed manual Elite model.

Don't know about the cd eject I would think a wires crossed behind the radio or trapped , as for the stations your car has FM1 presets and FM2 presets , we only set ours on FM1 and on the odd ocasion we use the button marked radio and it circles through all the fm , lw , aux so we end up on the FM 2 and like you the presets seem to be gone but they are on FM1 so my point is next time this happens look at the display and see if it's the FM 1 or 2 hope this helps all the best

Ive never experienced this issue with the cd player. Although I tend not to leave a cd in the player after switching the engine off. Mainly listed to the radio. My stations once programmed in, seem to stay there. Unless I was to disconnect the battery.

This is a strange one How can somebody go through so many cars, there have been others inbetween the Astra ownership....

Back to the issue, don't know about the radio stations but my Vectra will sometimes eject the Sat Nav disc, either when I'm not using it or when I start the car, only once in a blue moon, but I have noticed that the stereo is still reading/spinning the disc after the key is out of the ignition.

There was also the Land Rover but that served him well until he did his famous trick of killing the clutch and DMF, but that got Part Ex'd for the now Astra.
You speak untruths.
Landy was my wife's motor, part ex'd it for the rcz.
Can't count that.
I did have an 1.8 Astra H sports hatch for a little while though.
Quite settled with my current J for now.
More cars means more hours to work. I need a rest lol.

Yes the Land rover was your wife's but was your bottom not sat on the drivers seat when the clutch started to fail......I rest my case your honour.
