remote locking kit wanted

Just on the off chance, is anyone breaking a cav/calibra that has the remote central locking kit installed to the standard vauxhall factory alarm? (By this I mean the kit that simply plugs into the factory alarm and gives remote locking, window closure etc) Or a kit that they bought and then never got round to fitting that they dont want/use?

A long shot, I know, but its bugging me now, having to lock and unlock by the doors.

Also, anyone know why my boot will not lock with the central locking, and has to be unlocked with the key all the time? When I turn the key so the lock is upover, I cannot remove the key as it doesnt turn all the way up (goes to 11, rather than 12 o'clock if you see what I mean) Is the key supposed to go all the way up?

i have an aftermarket remote cat2 (poss cat 1?) cobra alarm that was installed on the GSI fairly recently.. (before it was broken! )

two remotes etc..

only downside.. havent got the wiring diagram!!!?!???!?! lol but i am sure i can arrange.

Lee, does it do window closure? and easy to fit, as I am cr@p at heavy electrical work :(

ermm. i have to check if we cut it out with bits of the vx loom sstill connected for easy Identification.

Don know about sunfroof closure im afraid.. never got that far! lol

i am sure i can help you fit it.. all part of the fun! lol

might even have a spare CL module form teh gsi but am not sure if they are the same due to the number of doors etc..

bah...sounds complicated (as in "Dont be silly Ray, you cant even tie your laces") You should see the cr@p install of my cd player :p...its like a fire waiting to happen.

Anyway, the sunroof closure isnt a problem to be honest, just the windows really

ah well, was worth a try.....hey, you got a trade club card....the kit from vauxhall is about 70 notes.....heres what I was told ages ago.

"`m on cavweb most nights and during the day on days off work,

the kit comes with full instructions, if you are not far from me
i could do for you, for a couple of if you are unsure of what to do,

the system will lodck and deadlock the doors, close the windows, and arm the alarm system, it aslo features an LED whcih mounts on to the spare blanking plat next to the elec headlight beam
adjuster switch, the LED works in conjunction with the factory roof mounted LED,

with the vaux remote system, it deadlocks all the doors
except the drivers door which for extra security no longer controls the deadlocks,
for extra security after pressing the remote just deadlock the drivers door with the key,
then when you return to the car, return the drivers lock to vertical
(un-deadlock) then press the remote and the car will unlock,

there is no way of the alarm being disabled or the car undeadlocked without the remote, the remote also features a rolling code so it can`t be scanned,

press the remote button and it flashes the indicators once then locks/deadlocks and closes windows, it put the LED next to the
headlight beam adjuster switch, mounted in the spare blanking plate, works in conjunction with the roof/sensor LED,
then press remote again it flashes indicators twice then unlocks.

the vauxhall remote kit for the facotry alarm is p/n 91145514
and costs about £60.
