For early Omegas with plain ordinary heater rotary knobs, panel illumination bulb replacement is quite easy. If you follow the excellent how 2 already posted on removal of the climate control panel up to stage 7, but then continue with these differences as follows: -
1 Gently pull of each rotary knob to reveal a screw under each one.
2 Undo these screws and gently pull surround off, this will reveal the 3 panel bulbs.
3 Gently ease each bulb out of its holder as required, the new bulbs just push in. Job done. replacement is reversal of above.
4 If you need to remove the whole panel from the car, you will see, with the outer cover removed, the screws which need to be undone, unscrew and gently pull the whole panel forward. CAUTION do this carefully as there are vacuum pipes and cables attached to the rear of this panel.
