Can anybody give me some advice? I have a 2000 Vectra EST Diesel , It ran out of fuel with 20lts showing in the tank.
After getting it to run again the engine management would come on then flick off-on. It would only start when turning on ignition with it off. Now running I had to bring revs up in stages first 2000revs or the light would come on and it would stop. After getting the revs over 4500 it would run fine. But now every morning it will not start as if air in fuel at first, then after getting it running I have to bring revs up slowly again, will run all day fine, then next morning the same. Could it be the injector pump loosing pressure? Any idea,s

could try cutting into the fuel line near the filter & fitting a non - return valve .

Its At the dealer to see what they say. If they say the injector pump is not holding presure I was thinking I might be able to put a non return valve in the pipe.
Is there one in the injector pump?
have you done this and it worked ok?
