Just a couple of quickies.

1. The metal breather pipe that comes out of the lower block and goes to the flame trap mod has 2 bolts holding the pipe on at the bottom. Is there a gasket or O ring seal, If so, will it need replacing as I need to remove it and clean it out.

2. I have a slight oil leak from the base of the oil dipstick,How do you remove the dipstick, and how does it seal to the engine block.

Cheers.

1.yes there is a gasket and it would be advisable to change it,they are very cheap.
2.No idea on all the x20xev's i have dealt with the dipstick tube is on the same mounting as the metal breather pipe you mention in 1 so i presume there diff on the newer engines.

The oil dipstick is on the other side of the engine, it is attatched by a bracket to the power steering pump as its the later X20XEV engine. Any Idears?
