vectra mirror wiring

hey guys

i dunno if anyone can help with this problem ive been having, i decided to wire in electric mirrors to my 1996 vectra ls and well it hasnt been going too well, first off i had problems making the connections stay.... but here is my real problem... both mirrors work perfectly fine .. the drivers side always works up,down,left,right .. no problems there

the passenger side however is my problem ... i can move the mirror up down and right when the ignition is switched off and when its on i can move it up down and left (but not right), .... ooo another thing is that when i select the drivers side i in some directions it also moves the passenger side .... could this be due to a faulty switch? .... another thing is that i can move the passenger side mirror with out the power for it even being connected..... does it seem strange that i would be able to move either even when there are no keys in the ignition...

please someone help me

ive had a look at the haynes manual and it appears as though for the up the passenger mirror draws power from the black/red wire... it runs through the switch to the fuseboard, the drivers side also takes power from this wire .. from what i can tell that is.. so could it be the switch that needs replacing if it is allowing power to run toboth mirrors simultaneously
