Hi, My Vectra 2.0dti (Y20 DTH) 2001 75K is showing the warning light when first started from cold. It idles a bit rough as well but the light goes out when revved above 2000rpm. When it is warm the light does not come on. Any Ideas?

Its 2001 and yes power is a bit down until turbo comes in.
Come to think of it the glow plug light is coming on when cold, even though the temp is about 10 deg at the moment.

Same thing with mine...warning light comes on after about 5 seconds when cold..goes off at about 2000 revs. Local garage informed me a few months ago after hooking up to tech2 and then testing just about everything in sight, that the glow plug main control unit is buggered and isnt switching on at all. However, they have also said that as these engines have such a high compression, that they willl start on the coldest of days even without the glow plugs working, and this seems to ring true as I didn't have any starting probs at all through the cold winter we have just had
