Anyone got any Cav leather they are selling or going to be selling? looking at leather for a hatchback, doesnt have to be absolutly 100% mint but must be in quality nic.

Noticed a few bits and bobs on ebay but short of a load thats just gone for £300 they arent the condition I am after. Not after turbo fronts specifically but would be nice if there is any going.

Ta :)

Was hoping to collect something about PVS time to be honest, I'm back working at the moment so finding time to go anywhere until then is going to be a royal pig

No balloon popped, I know what cav leather looks like, I'll wait to see what I think the SRi half leather will look like and make a decision based on that :coke:

Thought GSI and SRI had IRS?

GSI, Turbo and 4x4 had IRS which are saloons only.

Unfortunatly not, not even saloon SRi has IRS

You would have to do some work to get the interior in but once done - there is only one other Cavalier with that interior ;)

Yup;)

Got this set in good nick, the rears can be modded to fit, as I did when I put GSI seats in my old TD, swapped the covers over. It is only the bench part that is different.

Could hang on till PV if you defo wanted them Matt:Cool2: See the link in my sig for details.

Well done with the job BTW:bananasmi

got a complete leather interior from a CDX, so the rear seat will go straight in.

If you decide not to go for Marc's that is!

Right after thinking about this a fair bit and talking to Blotto, I have decided that the Vectra leather seats are just too much hassle for me to put in the SRi, I do believe Rob is however quite interested.

I am now on the lookout for mint, or near as can be mint cav leather, prefferably turbo fronts, and hatch rears, but the chances of that being slim I will settle for pretty mint CDX/Dippy leather. Ideally I dont want to have to do any conversion to get seats to fit unless someone is willing to do it for me, I'll just cock it up.

Whats about?

You will have to change the base of the front turbo seats due to different floor pan, but thats not a hard job.
The hard bit will be finding any in really good nick!

I'd do it if I knew it was easy enough not to make a hash of, I dont want to spend money on leather and then ruin it. just how much work is involved?

Oh aye, and did you get the pics of the fronts in the end?

CavHopper
13-05-2006, 07:52 PM
sh*t no- will do it tomorrow, along with a pic of the other bits I have for you. Just a case of swapping the covers on the bench really- I had GSI seats in the TD for a while and that is what I did. You have to join the split bases together, then fir the leather cover. Took me about an hour, and looked pukka. I'll even do it with you if you like.

CavHopper
13-05-2006, 07:54 PM
Tell you what, subject to you liking the pics, I'll even go the scrappy and get a split base, and change it all over for you before hand, then it will be plug and play, so to speak.
