Pulling Off steering wheel on vectra?

Is it posible to get the steering wheel off my 1996 vectra without the use of a puller, ive heard that it can be done.

But im worried about pulling it and then wack....broken noise :lmao:

had a few wheels off slacken the nut till the nutis flush wid the colum top then just rive at it! usally best to get one hand oppisit ends and rock it if that fails see if you can get your knees up behind it works for me!
