I think I've found some for the doors now. If that chap manages to get them off ok, will post an update tomorrow or Tuesday

Still looking
The chap couldn't get them off without bending them.
If anyone's gonna try, here is his advice: (hope he doesn't mine me quoting)
I reckon a wide plastic scraper/spatula thing, and preferably some heat to soften the glue. Definately not a screwdriver and no heat.... I'd also work from the top down, or bottom up, rather than from one edge to the other...

Best way is to use some wire, welding wire if poss, and "cheese wire" them off. Works a treat.

There you go people, you've heard it :D
And if you want the red 'piping' that goes in the bumper, Vx main dealers sell it for not a lot of dosh iirc..... nice and spangly new and clean (and unstretched).

Would that be the same as the one that runs down the sides then? i.e. on the doors
Not sure, but if I had to guess I'd say no....
I woulda thought the door strips were one piece. The only reason I know about the bumper piping stuff is because I replaced it all in my old facelift Cav.

To be honest, I've never done that and I wouldn't dare trying it in case I bend them (and it's very easy to do just that apprently). You wouldn't know how to get them off by some chance, would you?

Knowing my clumsy hands, I'd probably bend it.
Thanks anyway though

Hi Chris
Are they straight (i.e. not bent)?
Yeah, the doors and the small bits on the front wings will do, whatever you've got.
Let me know
Cheers :Cool2:

sorry mate, they dont look too bad, but i would'nt say there 100% straight tbh! might be ok with a bit of heat on them when you stick em on?warm them up gently and they kinda straighten up as they cool. can have em if you wanna try it?

if you don't care about the door, a fine blade putty knife/scraper is the best tool.
you scratch the paintwork, though which is fine at a scrappy.
the old ones, just peel them off, like a banana and bin them.

Have you got a photo Chris? I'd like to see how bent are they.
