iirc every speed sensor for the gearbox is matched with the digi dash. You cant just pick up anyone and expect it to work properly.

When I got the digi dash put in my Nova, I had to get the dash unit, wiring loom and gearbox sender from the same donor car to ensure it was correct.

That may, however, have been a sales pitch from the place i ordered it from though just to charge me 140 for the entire gubbins of it, but supposedly the pulse rate is different for certain digi dash units

I may be reading the original post wrong but it sounds like he only wants the plug and loom?

If not fire up the dash and see what the display shows whilst going through the check.
