Part Number For This Loom Is 90505573, Its The Loom Which Enters The Inside Of The Car From The Engine Bay Just To The Left Of The Rad Top Up Tank. It Has A Label On It. D7 And Then The Part Number As Above On It Located Just Before The Loom Disaperars Inside The Car. (label Easy To See From Engine Bay)
I Need This Loom As Mine Has Suffered A Burn Out In One Of The Wires Which Has Melted Together A Few Other Wires.
Was Going To Remake The Old Burnt Loom Using A Bh 90357811 Loom But The Job May Be Harder That Way, So If Anyone Has A Body Shell Or Nearly Stripted Shell And The Loom Is D7 With Part Number As Above Please Email And Ill Be Happy To Travel And Even Remove The Loom Asap.
Note That Its Far Easier To Remove This Loom If The Car Has Already Had Its Dash Removed.
Please Help Please.
I Also Have Nearly 2 Complete L Reg Cav's For Breaking, One With Boot And The Other Saloon. One Is Diesel And The Other Is Petrol So Maybe A S*** Of Parts Could Be Arranged If You Require Anything I Have Got Etc Etc.
Cheers

Will this be the same as a V6 loom. I've sold the ECU and loom for the engine, the rest of the car is pretty much stripped with the dash out.
I can get a better look next week as I've got my folks visiting for the weekend so I'm hoping for a break from breaking the car, let me know.:Cool2:

According To Epc And The Tech Cd's, These Looms Are Only On 16,18 And 2 Ltr Air Bag Models, So I Guess Not The V6 But A Quick Check Would Be Great If Possible. The Id Label Is Just Inside The Bonnet Area, Very Close To The Bulkhead To The Left Of The Expansion Tank. Its A White Label With Packard Electric Ireland On It With P/n 90505573 And The Large Letters D7 On It. Cheers Mate. Enjoy The Weekend Off From Car Breaking, Its Going To Be A Cold One Anyhow So Best To Stay In The Warm Lol.

Its Described As A Harness Assembly.,instrument Panel,rhd (ident D7) (except Check Control)(except Japan)(for Passenger Airbag If Fitted) C16nz, C18nz, 20ne, C20ne Engine Types.
It Enters The Car And Connects To Most Of The Inside Looms And Includes In It The Engine Starter And Alternator Power Leads If You Get My Meaning Mate.

in the engine bay....follow the loom....what stuff does it connect to?

It Connects To A Great Big Cable Plug And Socket X16 I Think On The Wiring Diagram, It Then Goes To The Battery, Starter, Alternator And The Ecu Which Is Inside The Car. I Think It Also Has The Diagonostic Connector On The End Of It And The Octaine Grade Plug Connector On It As Well As Other Small Connectors Etc. The Other Side OF THE CONNECTOR IS WHERE The Loom Passes inside The Car And Connects To The Ignignition Switch, Ecu Plug, And Fuse Holder Unit As Far As I Can Tell. I Would Say Its The Main Inside Wiring Loom From The Engine Loom To The Inside.

sounds like the dash loom which also exits the car under the brake servo and connects to the wipers and heater blower etc

your right my friend. it connects to just about everything. Typical.
Im a qualified diesel electronics engineer and used to do panel wiring for a living, but even this loom looks a little sod to do. Ill just have to get out there in the cold and remake one from scratch as its a no longer stocked item in any of vauxhall's garages. Its even been deleted from the main vox database so not one is available. Ill try the breakers yards just for the fun of getting covered in oil and mud but I guess by time i have found one and removed it from donner car which will almost be sat right ontop of 2 other cars, I may as well just have started making a new one.
THE HUNT GOES ON FOR A WHILE YET.
