Well looks like ive got to sell my cavalier GSI now :shame: as i need a place to live and looks like it will be some distance from where i am now (about 40 miles) and i will probably be looking at getting a corsa GSI instead. Im putting it up to see how much interest I get.

The car has been owned by me since march of this year, and had some major work carried out when i bought it (came to £420) this included new rear bushes, all new brake pipes to the rear, all new disks and pads, new handbrake cable, general service (oil change/ sparks/couple of gaskets etc)
It has just under 136000 miles on the clock and the engine still turns over first time everytime and is smoot throughout all gears. The previous owner had work to the body done before me, as he was a proffesional paint sprayer, he replace both rear arches and gave the car a full respray in minstrel grey (is stunning when all polished up) he also had the standard alloys refurbed.
It is likely the car will be serviced again in the near future.
Car interior is pretty much mint apart from small cigarette burn on rear seat (hardly noticable)

My step dad MOT'd the car and left nothing unchecked, there was a small amount of welding done to the drivers floor pan (small patch).
There is virtually no rust on this car at all the only bit i can find is on the drivers side wind and is a tiny tiny buble on the arch at the centre.

As far as i know all the car needs is the sensor in the tank replacing as it stopped working about three ago and just sits at zero (this will likely be fixed soon too)

Anyhoo some pics from bout 2 months ago, car now has tinted front lights (looks very nice with this colour) and i was contemplating putting 17's on but my housing needs now come first :shame:

Car also has pipercross induction kit and stainless steel twin exit back box (believe its a mongoose one) MOT until May taxed until March. looking in the region of at least £1100 it is worth that in my opinion

Also think it is the price!Don't let people bullshit you with high expectations of worth. Igot a Cavvie Turbo for 1100.Do you think your car can match that??? Yes with 17 alloys, 4 monthold tyres all round, tax and test!So someone offers £500 then personally Ithink that is a bloody good offer. Don't get blinded by what you have paid to sort things out- folk don't really give a f+ck.

Um, i dont know what planet you are on, but i think i speak for most when i say that is definatley worth the price tag. If i had the cash and not the mv6, i would have that like a shot. The cavalier turbo is worth a lot more but ateotd, it's coming to a time of the year that most people do not have disposable cash knocking about.
Andy, unless you wanna do a deal with me (lol) good luck on what seems a very fair price for a good looking cav!

As the PROPHET OF DOOM I have to give you some bad news :
1) Age : Most people think it's OLD
2) Mileage : Most people think it's high
3) Model : Cavalier - stop the first person you meet and ask them to discribe the CHAVALIER. Not going to get a good image
4) Cav Web - NOT the place to sell a cav at top dollar - try autotrader ?
5) New Cars and 0% finance Deals - For the same price as a 13 year old GSi I can fund a NEW VXR for 10 months on easy credit (well I can't but that's how people think
6) Competition : Cav V6's go for £650 -£800 - (Turbo's are a different car) cally 16V's go for £650 - £800
Astra Gsi's hitting ROCK bottom
7) And then there's other brands - my mate just bought an M reg 24V mondeo for £400 with FULL history.

I'd make an offer as I'm after a daily driver hack so I can restore my daily driver mk2 SRi in peace. But I'm afraid you'd be insulted so I won't - PM me when you get desperate (IF)

If I had the cash and I needed a new Cav then I'd pay £1200 for yours going by photoes. And assuming engine in as good condition.

Good luck with the sale. Dont be tempted by someone waving a few hundred under your nose. Hang on in there until the right offer comes aong.

Not yet - one day maybe. Mk2's of the right spec are starting to fetch good prices, but mk3's (except turbo) are still heading down fast.

Hi mate,
Real shame that is needed welding up underneath. But unfortunately, if it started at the front, then its likely - not definately - to start rusting in other places also quite soon. If you prepared to drop price somewhere, as, although the car is georgeous, and is a real credit to you in keeping the appearance of it, welding has been requied, and will almost definately be required in the not to distant future (probably next MOT).

as i sed its only a tiny weld and the chassis is sound, not too fussed if i cant get the price i want right now as i know there isnt a lot of people looking for a car at the moment and i may be better off trying in the summer:Cool2:

The best way to sell a car, if you need rid of it you hardly ever get youre asking price, youve got the advantage of the fact that you dont NEED rid of it, just looking at changing in the future, you hang on to it at £1200 mate I think its worth it all day and if I have the money comes Feburary/March time and you've still got it, and for sale at that I'd give you £1200 cash and a pint at the bar too. All the very best mate, cus thats a cracking motor!

Cavalier turbo 1100? well you got a hell of a deal, a decent cav gsi is worth a grand + , fact, insurance company paid 1500 to repair mine after attempted break-in. so, 1100 - 1300 for a good gsi is fair...
