as it says. its a 1995 2.0 16v eco from a cav (but will go in all the usuall 2.0 ecotecs, etc and as far as i know the 1.8's too if you want to do the sneaky "its only a 1.8" thing) long block engine and whatever ancilliaries are still on it (cant remember as its been in the back of my van for years). selling due to not using it and i want to get some more space in the van. it had done 145,000 miles, had the usual rocker gasket leak (and i think the sump gasket was suspect if i remember right) but it ran beautifully and made (for an ecotec) good power smoothly all the way from tickover to the redline. it was only in the car for 2 days after i brought it and did 15 miles then i converted it to my XE and this has been sat there ever since.
i cant remember what sensors, etc are still with it but if anyone's interested i'll have a dig out and have a look (its under quite a lot of junk at the moment so please only ask if you're genuine).
you are more than welcome to come and have a look at it and you can e-mail me on siraff@msn.com , call or text me on 07930 168 603.
i can fit it if you pay me (cheaply but i like a good coffee while im working) and i can deliver but this would be quite expensive in the van as it drinks the diesel.
i cant put any guarantee on it as its stood for over 2 yrs now but i would presume it would start and run as it did which was very well.
will probably make a cheap engine for someone who's blown theirs (not unknown with the eco's) and just wants a cheap swapover.
im really after £150 but i'll be taking all offers into consideration as i need the space and its going to waste.
all offers, deals, etc please let me know and i'll get back to you after talking it over with the other half.
again 07930 168 603 call/text or siraff@msn.com
cheers, si. :Cool2:

Aiight mate, sounds like just the job.

Im after replacing my 1.8 with an ecotec...however im gonna also need a fuel pump off an ecotec cav as well as fuel lines that screw on, and an ECU...have you got any of these per chance?

sorry mate but i havent. i converted her to XE and all i've got left is on the engine. not sure if the fuel lines are still attached but i would doubt it. they can be got quite cheaply from the breakers though so not really a big problem. the fuel pump is running the XE at the mo. also, is yours the 8v 1.8 or an ecotec? i have the engine loom but its in a bit of a mess and will want re wrapping at least (may have been butchered if anyone has needed wire out of the van :o( ) you're more than welcome to come and have a look if you like and i'll take any decent offer on it as i want it out the way.
if you're interested, im on 07930 168 603 call or text anytime or siraff@msn.com (but i probably wont be back on here till later if you dont mind waiting?)
thanks for the interest. si

shame about that. if it helps you, though, you can use the tanks from a cav 8v CDI, astra GTE, etc thats not internal and sits just behind the bumper on the back right side of the car. makes things easier than taking your tank off. good luck either way and if you need a hand just give me a shout.
