 Cheers, just 1 question tho, could I use an Omega wiper stick instead of that gay button that interferes with everything?
For a start I have no loom (I think) and that wire they give u on the button ain't gonna reach anything!

yeah i believe u can use either a vectra or omega stalk with the FC buttons on it. you will still have to do the wiring for it either way but wiring the steering column plugs could prove difficult. the switch loom plugs into the connector block under the handbrake.
if you didn't want the switch tho i would sell you the rest for £23 posted.

As already mentioned yes you can I've had a Vectra stalk in my Cav for about 6 months now and it makes a lot safer to flick through the functions also the stalk is a little chunkier which gives it a better feel.

OK, which way would be easier 2 do if I don't have any loom for the FC?
I'm thinking how difficult it would be 2 run the wire through here, the 1 for the Cav switch near the hand brake or the Omega/Vectra stalk thing?
Will give u £20 without the switch or £25 with it, posted.
Cheers

personally i would wire up the stalk as its easier to use when fitted, although the wiring could be trickier.

sorry mate, recently been told that I can't use such a device as my engine isn't clever enough to put out the right pulses!

nah mate the 16SV isn't made to be clever. but that has its up-sides too - like being indestructible for one :lmao:
shame about the pierburg 2E3 carb they put on them

Hasnt andy m got a huge and detailed "How to" regarding adding these if there is no loom. He put a fuel/trip computer into his 1.6 - though his may be an LS its only gotta be a case of some clever splicing!!
