Anyone happen to have a picture of one? or happen to know where it is on the car

follow the top radiator hose back to the engine , you will find the thermostat housing , it is under a couple of metal pipes from the intercooler , 2 12mm bolts hold it on

its here under the pipes, its silver and theres two bolts holding the end on which covers the thermostat

right i just took the caseing off for the thermostat on a 1.7 tds izusu engine and there wasnt a thermostat in there i followed the pipe from the top of the rad to caseing so i took that off there was nothing in there i dont think this is normal can anyone help me

It must have been taken out :eh Are you sure your water pump is working, you should see water returning to the expansion bottle,aux belts are ok?
It could be a blocked radiator or blown head gasket. Try running the hosepipe through the radiator an coolant hoses to check for blockages.
