I am sorry to have to post here but had problems with Jasper. He sold me a set of 3Ltr V6 cams which he guaranteed were the right ones. After I found out that they were standard 2.5 V6 Vectra ones  (with the help of a cavweb Member). I spoke to him last saturday through PM and he said he would look into it when he got home and get back to me in a few hours. Since then I have been ignored and he will not reply to any texts or phone calls I make. He seemed such a nice guy when I met him but turned out to be the opposite. His Cav Web name was Jasper (real name Steve) Reading back sounds like Fooman who is also a Steve in Bristol , same sort of age. I am disappointed as I went without to get the £100 for these cams as I thought it was a good price and it has meant I could not go to weston wheels and went low on food for nothing :(
Did you meet him or did he send them through the post?

I would go back and see him then, sorry dunc, my brain aint awake yet, just glanced read the paragraph, didnt read it fully :lmao:

Well the user Jasper definately used the same IP as Fooman which means that he lives in the same area but there is quite a bit of contact information on his profile:

I went to his house but If he is ignoring me, who is to say that if i go there he will do the same? It will end up costing me more with bridge and petrol each trip. £15 to 20 per run. I do not expect to hear anything from him but if I do will let you know (same goes for if I dont also). I do have his address if it is needed to find out if it was Fooman but if it is needed I will only send through PM to an admin.

What's the road name?
I've been to Foomans, Got lost cos there was a similar road name close to his.
Can't remember them but I'd recognise the name.

I met the guy - he seemed like an nice person. Bought his Unichip off him. I think the cams were a genuine mistake - if you look at the pic of the items you can see they are not 3 litres, but then how are you supposed to know if you dont know the coding/colours. I know his wife/gf was having a kid which is why he sold his v6's and tubbie, so I don't know if he's tied up in this.

Surely the cames have got a part number on them?

Is this solved yet cos i found a mobile number for him?
also cavebmaster - of you're taking something in the faith of it being good, why should you check part numbers? Happens to all of us - genuine mistake or not.
