No problem though as I think I'm giving it a miss from now on! :sleepy
There are some people on there thet are getting offensive and anoying and I won't be renewing my membership in January...
Cavweb is much better, there's a better bunch of people here!
Its a more "mature" place to hang out mate - I've been a member for a while.
Theres not as much content as Mig but then there isnt as many 17 year old Nova drivers either if you know what I mean ;)

aye, if it aint broke dont try to fix it :)
Interesting opinion..
Especially when you consider that a large proportion of Cavweb users also use Migweb....
The majority of people on Mig are alright - its the minority that spoilt it.
There's what... 11,000 users signed up to Mig??
Although not all of them post, and some are duplicate users... still one helluva lot of people..
And people expect it to be all sweetness and light and brotherly love??
Off with the rose-tinted glasses and take a quick reality check methinks..

tell me about it!
What anoyed me was being insulted by a silly little girl and some snot nosed little Oyk, who have never done anything with their life!
I posted a picture of me before I left the army in 1992 of me in uniform just before the regimental band went on and played at the Edinburgh Tattoo(this was special to me as it was my last )
All I got was insults and was called a B@astard! I told the person respnsable that he should keep out of my way if he should see me at any meets.
I mean How may of us on here has served in the armed forces! (if you haven't, it don't matter to me, respect goes to you any how!)
I realy had no choice in the matter as I left school at 15 when my father died and had to work to support my mother and two yonger brothers.
No qualifications... No Job! (especialy in Liverpool) So at 16 I entered the army foundation collage and eventualy got good grades and was enlisted in to the Highlanders regiment... As my father did national service in the Gordon Highlanders (my gradfathers regiment) My father and grandfather where Pipers and my father taught me! so I joined the Band (pipes and drums) I eventualy left the army with the rank of Warrant Officer 2nd class. (would have been 1st class, but I don't like the taste of parade gloss)
Sorry to go on people, But I just go so anoyed and still am!

*buys piper alpha a  * good one that man. I don't think I could ever serve in the armed forces, if I ever got posted in any place dangerous I'd lay down my guns and try and talk it over with the enemy. Never a good thing if the enemy is in a tank and not in the mood for talking. But still my respect to anyone who's done service.

Sorry to go no people I just go so anoyed and still am!Dude... I just read the comments in question and I think someone's being a bit oversensitive..
No-one called you a b@stard, they just said that the uniform and pipes (I'm assuming you were carrying pipes, the picture wasn't there) reminded them of something from a film...
I'm not sticking up for the 2 in question, I've no idea who the lad is and I have a different set of words to describe that girlie, and they aren't quite as polite as yours..
I've never served in the forces and never would (I'm too old now in any case). Seen far too many people turn into over-aggressive fools.

Over oversensitive mate! with all due respect, I think not.
I and thats the extent of my disagreement with you budy! All I'm saying is While I was getting shot at by arabs where where they? Playing with Barbie or flat on their back thats where, and that includes the lad! :lmao: When I was in Bhagdad they where in dad's bag!
I'm 32 mate and I'm to old for the forces, I'm glad I left in 92.... and I don't think I'm over-aggressive.... A fool Yes! agressive no! ;) Don't get me wrong I won't let people take liberties! About 7 years ago My missus was in Uni. In Hull, she was upset buy some guy from Nothern Ireland. And he thought he could get away with it by moving back there... Errr! Wrong! I went to northen Ireland and found him.... and gave him a talking to if you get my meaning....
Now I just wait to see people that have anoyed me!
But I have taken your point!

Yep, got all sorts of stuff done.
Soldered up all the ecu loom connections (didnt fit it yet) all the hoses on bar 1 I have to alter to the matrix, all new stainless bolts on cam cover, fixed the broken distributor :O
Wired in an earth cable to the alt from the battery which wasnt in the gsi engine loom.
Drilled and rewired an alarm through the bulkhead with grommet, not how it was just pushed past the ecu loom grommet.
Scratched head as to where to put the coil and ign amp, as someone fitted an alarm claxon in the space. Throttle cable fitted.
And lots more I cant remember.
Wanted to fit the exhaust manifold but need to jack the car for that and ran out of light outside.
Bet you wish you didnt ask now Lee :D

Its been sitting here for a good 3 months untaxed so I wont tax it till Jan 2004 which gives me plenty of time to get it MOT'd too.
I have a full (minus side skirts) gsi kit for it to collect or get delivered very soon too so that should keep me out of the kids way over xmas.
Still have the full gsi kit here to fit to the cesaro too so plenty to get on with.
I'm pretty keen to hear it running now though so exhaust, ecu loom and fluids are getting done in the next few days (rain permitting)
Oh and front discs to change yet....always more isnt there!
