I have an X20XEV Vectra ST engine with loads of history. It’s covered 106K and can be heard running as still in the car, will take a video if required. Got loads of old MOT’s and service history to prove mileage. No leaks, knocks, bangs etc. Will come with gearbox and anything else required in the engine bay apart form the subframe as I need a rolling shell. Will not pallet as it’s collection only but I will remove it and drain fluids ready for collection once a deposit has been paid. Ideal for a Nova/Corsa conversion, something a little different. I’ve had a few of these engines in previous cars and they are very reliable and silky smooth. £150 gets you the lot and I'm located 2 miles from Ikea Nottingham M1 J26.

Can't be heard running now as I've started removing the engine.

Still for sale and need this gone so price dropped to £120 won't go any lower.

Harvey, do you know if the Veccy ECU and loom is compatible with the Mk3 Cav?

Also, any oil leaks (specifically from the cam cover)?

If you mean will the loom fit straight into a Cav then the answer is no. I would of though the engine is the same as the very last Cav mk3 though. To be honest the rocker cover gasket does look like it's starting to wheap so could do with being replaced.

Damn, that's a shame, as my loom is shagged and the engine isn't much better so this would have been an ideal solution had it have worked. :(:(

Back to the drawing board then.

I hope you find someone to buy this off you.

just a little note, the Vectra engine isn't a direct fit into a Cav. A few attached bits need changing over

Nope, it's still in as I've decided not to remove it unless I get a deposit or someone to buy it. If it's not gone by next Saturday it'll be getting weighed in with the car which is a shame as it's a cracking engine.

Open to offers if anyone is genuinally interested in the lump as I've had a few time wasters.

Thanks for the info, I did think that myself. Not a big job and very do able to fit in a Cav.

Have replied via PM and no the car hasn't been crashed, just worth more in bits.

Now sold with shell so the ST might live on to fight another day.
