I have a "T" 2 litre petrol Vectra. Just had the clutch done (ouch).
It now has become difficult to get 1st and second when cold, and selects 3rd or 4th instead. Gets better when warm.
I think it has the wrong oil....what should it be ?
The fitters say they dont lose the oil swapping the clutch - are they telling porkies?

its possible that when the gear box was put back in, that is gear linkage was not conected in the right position. grab a haynes manual and it will tell u in detail how to set it yourself.

Thanks stockleys....I thought I had posted a reply to this, but I clearly haven't!
I actually swapped the gear linkage retaining pins (£1.76 each from a dealer), which helped a lot, but then I bit the bullet and adjusted it. The Haynes manual is crap as usual, but I worked it out and it's fine now.
Many thanks
