reverse lights inop?
easy check this...and also suitable for other vox cars etc...
look at the front of your gearbox, u will find a double plug connection to a black and metal nutted reverse switch.
put the igniton on, put in reverse, have engine off, now remove this connection, bridge it, i.e get a piece of wire and join the two terminals up on the plug...
now wander round to rear of car...working?
if yes...u have just self diagnosed as a faulty switch...
if no, the switch is ok and u have bulb or wiring fault, check the bulbs first, if u unsure of bulbs, a resistance check throo them will tell u either way. u can also do a resistance check from switch to lamp units.
if it is the switch...a deep 19mm socket and just simply remove and refit new, ensuring seal is swopped over.
if wiring, very rare and if so, normally at switch plug wiring, just solder and ensure insulate well.
hope helpful. ChrisSRI:D
