It started on a sunny Saturday morning, was meeting at Toddington at 12is, so I left home 1015 ish, and managed to avoid any traffic so I got to the services sometime after 11.
After the obligatory Ginsters pie and a short wait Trish and Sy arrived closely followed by XxDayWalkerxX, the rest of the clan soon arrived including the, now infamous, love bus.
After a short laugh at the arrogant driver in the German panzer wagon driving in the exit and the wrong way around the car park without signalling once, we left.
It was agreed we would take a leisurely drive to ‘the pod’ as the love bus wouldn’t be able to keep up. That lasted all of 100yds and after some quite serious loud pedal munching and a bit of Golf baiting we made it to the mud bowl that we thought was the camp site.
Luckily there was plenty more firmer ground the other side of the strip, so once we had circled the wagons and sorted our tents, modified the Love bus (Alex has the video), it was time for some hardcore BBQ action with some Corsa burning as light entertainment.
With a bit of A team action we hit the fun fair, there are some pics of the VXON dodgem championship, hearts and diamonds puke ride and this:-

We quickly found our ‘pitch’:-

Then decided it was time for some more BBQ action and headed back to the camp site.
Luckily the ‘bass boys’ batteries had gone flat by this time and it was a lot quieter than I was expecting. After a couple of sausages that had gone through a nuclear reactor and were too hot to eat for about 6hrs, a discussion with a random blonde with Phil and Grant Mitchell down her top and some serious looking at the moon it was time for bed as it was now the wrong side of 3am!!
Sunday started at around 545am with some hurried tent packing and the short trip round the site to our field.
There was a bit of a flurry when ‘Ze Germans’ tried to invade our plot, but got stuck in the mud!
Mark did a sterling job of sorting the parking.
With cars up and down the strip all day and plenty to look at it was a very enjoyable day, topped off with the love bus burning down the strip!
We all decided to P U & P O at 330ish, just before the serious rush and I managed again to avoid the traffic to get home 530pm ish, tired, possibly a bit sunburnt but happy.
I have got some pics, but I think most have already been posted, so I won’t bore you all with them J
This was my first ‘proper’ VXON show and I have to say it was a lot of fun, felt very welcome, looking forward to the next one
Cheers
