need to take out the speedo dials to change them but havent got a clue how to take the clocks out and dont want to break anything. the car is a 1991 cavalier 2.0i CD
Put this in the wrong section mate, should be in the Cav/Calibra tech section ;)
All the details on removing the clocks, and other interior trim is detailed and pictures in the Haynes manual for the Cavalier.
But basically you have to remove the steering wheel shroud, lights panel, and I THINK the heater panel too, but don't quote me on that. And then you get access to the top trim that surrounds the clocks. The clocks themselves are just secured in by 2/3 phillips screws top and bottom, and once they are removed it should give you enough access to get behind and disconnect the plugs and speedo cable, although it may well be a bit tricky like both of mine have been for space!
That's from memory, you might be able to get it out without having to remove the light and heater panels, but that's how I remember it I'm sure, get yourself a Haynes manual and it will tell you all you need to know and there's some pictures in it too to help you along.
