Anyone got one of these lying around that's good? If no-one has does any one have a 1400? The 1300 in the Cavalier's good, but I'm finding that it lacks torque for getting past caravans and the like on country roads! I'm near Leeds.

Ok, I'll accept anything, really, that has more power than a std 1300 and can be chucked into a MK2 Cav in the space/time of a morning without blowing a F10/5 box apart...

My mate has a X16XEL (16V) floating about! would go nice with some twin 40's with a F15 Gearbox! It had done 25,000 before it came out of the car...:Cool2: Or even if you wanted to convert it to a EFI it would be quite easy?

Thanks for the offer, but not got the sort of time that would be needed to do that sort of conversion justice before we go off to the Highlands in it!

Just something simple with a carb and more torque!

I'm actually thinking of just leaving the 1300 in there, and getting stuck behind things.

1300 is a fine engine, and in Nova Sport Form could make 120 brake (although twin dellortos were not much good for fuel consumption.

No longer needed, thanks. Didn't get one, got "persuaded" not to by the insurance
