help with door barrels - tigra

please help lol im having so many problems with my door barrels on my tigra (P Reg 96' model) the passenger door works fine i can lock and unlock the central locking from it - but however the drivers door lock wont budge at all the passenger door barrel is vertical whereas my passenger door barrel is horizontal. when my car is unlocked i can put my key in my drivers side and it turns a matter of millimetres and enables me to lock the car only - this is very bizarre i know

so what are my options please

i know you have to unlock it with the same door it was locked with....

sounds like the cam mechanism is broke on the drivers door lock,a common fault on 96on corsa,tigra and astra f models,parts come to about £10-£15 and take about an hour to fit,always fit a new thrust spring at the same time
