As description. I'm sure the doors for saloon and hatch are the same unlike with the Mk2 Cavs. My rear door on the driver's side is dented by some twat openning a door into it, and has a big scratch down too from where it was keyed, looks bloody awfull and although it is repairable if a replacement door is cheap enough that'll do me!

Pref with glass please, I'm not arsing about fitting glass, electric/manual window mech I don't care. but the door MUST NOT be from a GSi (have the holes in for the kit) and it has to be in good condition 81L - VX Diamond Black.

This is ofcourse for my car, Mk3 Cavalier.

Matt.

Saloons, and hatches are indeed the same Mat, although there are some differences internally, be it side impact bars, or wiring. The connecting wiring loom plugs differ across pre, and facelift models.

They have studs not holes ;)

Would a facelift door still be okay with my car then Micky?

And duly noted about the studs lol :)

can probably arrange one up here for 30quidish, but would have to arrange collection / meet part way. and it would most likely be a manual window.

From experience, the male plug from the wiring of a facelift door won't plug into the female plug & wiring from the loom of a pre facelift, and visa versa (pre facelift door onto a facelift Cavalier) The colour of the wires are different too iirc, thus making it tricky to rewire, although not impossible.

Changing this to me needing the same but Pre-Facelift only. What's the take on that Gary?

Looking more and more then like it will need work in the bodyshop to get done right then :(

Remove the wiring loom and refit your prefacelift one. I doubt its difficult to be fair.

I'll ask in my local breakers tomorrow.

PM sent.
