You can use a flat or pot type flywheel Dan...
Just the pressure plate needs to match the flywheel.
The clutch/friction plate needs to be a F28 one though. :Cool2:

I'm just after anything really that would be suitable to go on my V6 and the F28 box as I've a chap who will be machining it and lightening it, I've got a brand new Turbo clutch to go in the box too.

i would not lighten the fly wheel if i was you. not with a turbo or the v6. if you lighten the flywheel you weaken the fly with that much torque it could crack and split the fly. im just going from rumors and what i have read in magazines. if you want a lightened fly best of giving courtenay sport a call. also the std v6 fly weights in at around 14kg and let a little over 9kg so in a sense just putting a std let fly in your saying 5kg or there abouts.
i know this is a wanted add but i feel i should give my opinion on this. lightening it might be okay and you might get away with it but me personnally i would not like to run the risk.

On another note, I ran a machined lightened flywheel on my tuned V6, and it was fine - no issues. Don't know if there are any long term effects but in the year I had it, it was fine. I was running 211bhp and 197 lb/ft of torque IIRC.

it was just something that could possible happen to a lightened flywheel. seeing as my fly was fooked. Like this

if that got worse it could of fell apart. i got a courtenay one on mine and its a get bit of kit far more easier than lightening one. and tbh the cracks in my fly look far worse than they apear in the pic.

yes the early xe's up to about 92 had whats called the flat type flywheels. the let's all had the pot type which are heavier.
