anyone got any struts to hold the boot up on a vec estate, i aint got none and the boot is a bit heavy lol.

Scrapyard. Just find some the same length, it doesnt have to be off the same car.
Or ebay, there are loads on there cheap

Mine is 57cm between the middle of the ball joints on each end when fully open
