Right as I have recentyl done this I thought I would post it to help others out.

First thing to do is to bin the instructions you get with the kit, they are a waste of time!! They seem to want to make you take off every sensor that is mounted to the intake hose!

The way I did it was to remove the MAP sensor from the lid of the existing air box and this is the only sensor you have to remove, just lay it to the side of the box for now.

Remove the lid of the air box and loosen the jubilee clip that attatches it to the air intake hose, wangle the lid a little and hey presto with a bit of effort off it comes! Then fit the cone to the end of the intake and tighten the jubilee clip that is provided.

To hold it in place they provide you with some nice nuts and bolts, I binned these and used a stainless bolt for the bulkhead with nylocks for both this end and the top of the cone, no movement here methinks!

To secure the MAP sensor back into place K&N ask you to attach it to the loom, ignore this, I basically drilled a small hole in the bottom section of the air box and attatched it near enough where it was sat before using tywraps. Jobs a good 'un and only a five minute job!

Hope this helps someone.

You need to bin the resonator box and fit the cold air feed.
In town traffic or queues, even at this time of year your air temp entering the engine will be over 45 deg C. This is why townies complain of rough running! on the open road the air temperature may be only 10-20C above the outside air temp.
(only applies after you have driven 10 miles or so)
